The Atlanta Braves are on the brink of a significant transition as they prepare for the 2025 season, with a promising crop of prospects ready to make their mark. With names like Drake Baldwin, JR Ritchie, and Jhancarlos Lara poised for potential debuts, the question arises: which of these young talents do you believe will have the biggest impact on the Braves this season?

Drake Baldwin stands out as a catcher who could step in if Sean Murphy faces any injuries. His versatility might even see him playing in the outfield or as a designated hitter. Do you think Baldwin can handle the pressure of the big leagues, and how do you see his role evolving throughout the season?

On the pitching side, JR Ritchie is generating buzz with his high ceiling and impressive pitch mix. If he can regain his fastball velocity and improve his command, could he become a surprise #4 starter? Or do you think the Braves will play it safe and keep him in the minors for further development?

Jhancarlos Lara, with his triple-digit fastball and devastating slider, has the potential to be a game-changer in the bullpen. If he can refine his command, could he emerge as a late-inning relief option? What are your thoughts on the Braves' approach to developing their young pitchers, and how might that impact their performance this season?

As we look ahead, what bold predictions do you have for the Braves' prospects in 2025? Will we see a breakout performance from one of these players, or will injuries and setbacks hinder their progress? Share your insights, experiences, and predictions as we dive into what could be a transformative year for the Braves!

Man, this year could be a turning point for the Braves’ next wave of talent, and honestly, I’m hyped to see how it all unfolds.

If I had to pick one prospect to make the biggest impact this season, I’d lean toward Drake Baldwin. Catchers who can hit are rare, and he’s shown enough promise with the bat to make things interesting. If Murphy ends up on the IL at any point—or even just needs a breather—Baldwin could get his shot. I think the team might ease him in with some DH or corner outfield reps, just to get his bat in the lineup without too much defensive pressure. He definitely seems like someone who could stick if he starts hot.

As for JR Ritchie, the talent is absolutely there. I love his poise and his stuff when he’s on, but I could see the Braves being cautious—especially coming off the injury. If he’s healthy and starts shoving in Triple-A, though, they might not be able to hold him down for long. I wouldn’t be shocked if he sneaks in some starts midseason, maybe even takes over the #4 or #5 spot if there’s any rotation shuffling.

Jhancarlos Lara is my sleeper pick. That fastball-slider combo is filthy, and if he can just clean up the walks a bit, he could seriously become a late-inning weapon. With the way bullpens get taxed over 162 games, a guy like him could be a lifesaver in August and September. I’m all in on the idea of him showing up out of nowhere and becoming a fan favorite.

As far as how the Braves develop pitchers—I think they’re smart. They don’t rush guys, and they’ve got the depth to be patient. That said, if someone is dominating in the minors and there’s a need, they’ll pull the trigger.

Bold prediction? One of these three is going to be on the playoff roster. My guess? Lara comes out of the ‘pen and locks down some big outs in October. And Baldwin? I think he ends the season in Atlanta and pushes for a full-time role in 2026.

What do you think—are any of these guys ready to shine right away, or are we still a year off?
