Is anyone else seeing a disturbing trend of walk-off home runs this season? Chapman’s blast to sink the Braves felt like the tenth one I’ve seen this month alone. Are pitchers just getting tired late in games, or are hitters finally adjusting to the new baseballs? I predict we’ll see a record number of walk-offs by the All-Star break. What do you all think? Is this exciting baseball, or is it a sign of something fundamentally wrong with the game? Share your thoughts and let’s debate. Also, with all these highlights from various matchups, which team looks poised for a deep playoff run? The Phillies dominating the Pirates? Or are the Dodgers and Cardinals a more compelling matchup? I’m leaning towards a dark horse candidate making a surprise run. Maybe the Diamondbacks?
