Is a Nolan Arenado trade REALLY what the Red Sox need right now? Sure, he’s a fantastic player, but does he fill the biggest hole on this roster? I’d argue a lights-out closer like Ryan Helsley would make a much bigger impact. Packaging them together is an interesting idea, but what would that cost? Is Boston willing to mortgage the future for a third baseman when they have Devers? Let’s talk long-term strategy here. Is this a win-now move, or are we sacrificing potential down the line? I'm curious to hear your thoughts. Bold prediction: if the Red Sox make a big splash, it will be for pitching, not a third baseman.
